I played this till the second boss. Abandoned it. This game is short and can be completed in one hour, but the design of it is so lame that I couldn't continue. The team who made this game clearly has no experience at all in making shoot em up games. According to wikipedia the studio behind this game has members from the original studio that developed the previous R-Type Final game. Well, this game clearly lacked proper direction because it feels so amateurish.

The levels are shorter than R-Type III.

The graphics are bland. UE4 underused.

The art has an excess of colors, as if it was made by kids

The enemies show up in positions which aren't meaningful. As if they lost the ability to make meaningful design decisions to place enemies.

The bosses lack personality, lack some charisma or a real challenge.

The soundtrack is off and doesn't match the style of the game. Completely departs from previous R-Type games
