This subject is complex and sensitive. What Jason tells is that he disregarded the early signs and didn't pay much attention to mental health in his family, as a consequence, his younger son committed suicide. I don't have enough wisdom to discuss this in depth. What Jason tells is that he regrets the image of a "super hero dad" that he tried adopt in his family. For him, being a "super hero" meant that he could not show any weakness and by not listening to his son, death took his life.

There is a lot to be discussed and I don't know how to do it. What I wanted to do was to make a connection between the references below. Dr. Ramani describes the perfect family as being a potential vulnerability. Pedro Calabrez discusses what happens when people hide their suffering and pain. Daniel Martins de Barros discusses how can the negative emotions have a bright side and how can the positive emotions have a hidden dark side. Thiago Klafke tells that people should not run away from the darkness in life, or how the dark moments can have their positive impact in your life. Alan Mocellim discusses how mental health is deeply affected by the environment and the relationships. Each one of the previously mentioned subjects is connected to each other.
