Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones

From Henry's personal library

Dropped when I faced the first boss. I played enough of it and watched the rest in youtube. Now I clearly see why this game is disliked by some and what happened to the series. The first boss is giant and to defeat it and have to time your buttons with no room for miss. It's Quick Time Event, twice, to bring him down. Then it's hack and slash and QTE again.

The enemies are too resistant. They added stealth which feels off for many players. The QTE is just too fast and there is no room for miss. The points where the prince finds those light pillars with guards. If you miss the stealth kills of each guard or alert them you are forced to fight a very long battle. The enemies with bow and arrow are unforgiving and when you are jumping on the rooftops they easily knock you down while jumping.

The carriage levels are fun to watch, but terrible to play. The controls to steer to the right and to the left are terrible.

The dark prince is more or less the same concept of the Wraith's mask in WW. You lose life faster than in WW, but you don't have infinite sand regen.

Same issues with the camera angles from Sands of Time.

The level design is more open which also makes it more confusing and easy to get lost. Those spots to insert the dagger to climb don't have enough contrast to stand out in the environment. I was often lost because of this.

Compared to Warrior Within and Sands of Time the puzzles and platforms are more or less the same fun. Warrior Within made me tired because of the long journeys through the same environments and then back again in another timeline. The Two Thrones made me tired because the enemies just won't die and the QTEs are easy to miss.
