Sigil II
I played this way after playing Sigil. In some ways I've found it worse than the first Sigil. The levels are more confusing. In about half of them I became lost looking for the exit. This is something that didn't happen in Sigil. I also found the soundtrack of Sigil better. The level design in Sigil creates the illusion of walking on an upper floor quite well. Sigil II was made without the restrictions imposed by the old engine, now taking advantage of source ports. However, I still think Sigil > Sigil II. I played Sigil II in the normal difficulty and it's already very hard.
Romero is a master of hiding secrets. I couldn't find all of them. In the classic doom the secrets were made obvious with blinking lights or different textures for example. In Sigil and Sigil II most of them are hidden by means of geometry. You have to look in corners, edges and the detail that reveals the secret is very subtle. In the first Sigil he abused the "all seeing eye". The same thread continues in Sigil II.
